Zoey picks up yet another first female prize at Bridge of Earn
Three members from Falkland Trail Runners competed at the Brig Bash Five Mile Race at Bridge of Earn.
Zoey Johnston secured yet another first female over 40 prize for her efforts after crossingthe line in 56th place overall posting a time of 32 mins 58 secs.
Bryan Innes was first Skwerl to finish, crossing the line in 27th place in 30 mins 36 secs.
Last Thursday evening saw three members represent the club at the Balbirnie Park Duathlon.
Organised by Glenrothes Triathlon Club, the participants had to run five kilometres around the trails and footpaths of Balbirnie Park followed by a 20 kilometre bike run from Markinch along to Star towards Kennoway then back to Balbirnie Park.
If that wasn’t enough, they had a further two and a half kilometre run to finish with at Balbirnie.
Vinnie Atkinson was first FTR member home finishing 22nd overall with a time of 1hr 18 secs 22 secs.
Zoey Johnston was 38th in 1.21.22 and Eddie Petrie 68th, 1.31.04
Sunday saw ten members contest the Crieff 10K. 231 runners lined up at Morrison Academy Playing Fields to challenge the multi terrain course comprising of roads, trails and hills.
Bryan Innes led the squad home finishing 33rd in 44.05.
Lyle Allan having not run for two and a half months due to injury took the decision to run on the day and finished 85th in 51.03.
FTR members were out and about at four different 5k parkruns on Saturday morning, results were, Perth 126 & 45F Kate Russell[34.14].
