Getting Caroline Gilmour in for a radio interview was quite a coup back in my days at Leith FM.

She was making a name for herself as a singer songwriter around Edinburgh and having a live session was a welcome bonus.

Fast forward to when I was hosting the Christmas street lights celebrations in St Andrews November 2016. Headlining was Donnie Munro and in support was Caroline with Marissa Keltie on keyboards.

I knew Marissa too as a solo artist and a model and at one time auditioned for a musical show I was writing about a singer songwriter. Together they made sweet harmonies and it was no surprise to read they had formed a duo together as The Eves. Meantime Caroline had made number one in the vinyl singles chart and number two in the physical singles chart with her Electric Waterfalls EP.

The Eves, however, have attracted wider recognition with their releases and their first live concert was at the mighty C2C Festival at the Hydro in Glasgow where they quickly had to form a set of originals together in a ‘no covers’ policy.

They told me they were just thrilled to be on the bill with Keith Urban. The huge TRNSMT Festival on Glasgow Green was great exposure too. Kings Tuts Summer Festival was next followed by an opening slot for The Shires at the Old Fruitmarket venue in Glasgow where Caroline remarked on the superb acoustics and sounds on stage.

With so many shows, including 2020 TRNSMT, cancelled The Eves still had a feature on the Levis 501 Live Sessions where they performed their single, City Of Stars, for the Stay Home Stay Connected campaign.

So now we have a brand-new single release Love Will Find You (LWFY) filled with harmonies, electronic effects and a sweeping rhythm and uplifting melody. This original song has been featured on radio playlists across the UK and produced by Lewis Gardner.

He is known for his work with Pharrell Williams & Ellie Goulding.

It seems no stopping the exciting prospect ahead for The Eves.
