The Society’s choristers and own soloists look forward to giving a warm welcome to George Gordon, bass, and Robin Bell, organist, whose huge talents have previously contributed to making the choir’s performances so rewarding for choristers and audiences alike.

They are also especially delighted to welcome John Wallace, the internationally renowned (and Fife-born) trumpet virtuoso, as their trumpet soloist.

This year’s Christmas concert programme will include selected airs and choruses from the much-loved oratorio. Bruce Fraser, musical director, said: “2016 marks 275 years since Handel composed the Messiah, so we wanted this performance to be pretty special. We’re excited that our audience will have a chance to hear the incomparable John Wallace and we are honoured that John, who has contributed so much to Scottish musical life in so many ways, will be making music with us on December 10.”
