It’s a traditional agricultural show, offering the public the chance to find out more about local agriculture.

And the public has certainly taken up that offer with visitor numbers growing – last year was a record breaker, and organisers hope this year will attract even larger crowds.

New this year will be a Food and Drink Marquee, sponsored by Kettle Produce Ltd, which will feature speciality producers from Fife and beyond, right next to the Cookery Marquee run by Elmwood College, which will be presenting demonstrations throughout the day.

Animals will, of course, feature strongly, including horses, poultry, dogs, falcons and ferrets, and there will also be home produce, crafts, and local organisations taking part including Cupar & District Pipe Band, the Fife Vintage Agricultural Machinery Club, and the Scottish Official Highland Dancing Association.

And as is traditional, the day will round off with the Young Farmer’s Tug of War competition as well as a breath-taking bi-plane display.

Every year the show nominates a charity and this year will be supporting Scotland’s charity Air Ambulance and working with Kidney Kids Scotland.

The show is on May 21 at Kinloss – and entries are open now for competitions and exhibition stands. Find out more at www.fifeshow.com.
