Darren, who plays the songs live on acoustic guitar, has played at most venues in Fife, Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh over the years but his latest work has only come together over the past few months.

He said: “I played the songs to my brother and family and they encouraged me to record them. The songs are currently on SoundCloud.

“The plan is to release Stars of the Last Magnitude and Do You Wonder as a double a side on all digital platforms at the end of the month once these songs are mastered. The songs are currently with Alex who has mastered music for the Beatles, Coldplay, Keane, Radiohead and the Pixies.

"I was passed his contact details by a friend in music circles so we are keeping in touch by phone and email until the songs are finished.”

Darren has been writing and recording music with his brother Michael in their make shift and home made studio.

Darren continued: “My brother has a behringer umc22 – an audio interface that lets you record instruments and vocals -) so I'm able to record guitars and vocals then pass it over to him to record drums, lead guitar and bass. Michael also writes guitar/melody on some of the songs.

"But we can't meet up to sit in the same room just now because of the pandemic so everything is done from a distance.”

He added: “The long term plan is to release an eight song album in June/July but it’s all depending on the covid crisis. The album is a mix of songs with various different instruments and songs with only acoustic and vocals. The songs are influenced by the Beatles, Coldplay, Teenage Fanclub, Noel Gallagher and Cornershop.”
