KT Tunstall is to play a live gig in Fife to support grassroots music venues under threat as a result of the pandemic.

The singer-songwriter will hit the stage of PJ Molloys for the special show, which is part of the Music Venue Trust’s campaign Passport: Back To Our Roots.

It will see some of the biggest names play the smallest venues which support so many musicians and form the backbone of the UK’s live music scene.

KT, who grew up in St Andrews, chose the Dunfermline venue , and the gig is expected to take place next year.

The plan is to stage it with a full capacity crowd, and entry will be via a prize draw which launches next week.

From Monday, September 14 for three weeks, fans can enter online for a minimum £5 donation, and they could win a plus one pass to the gig.

It isn’t the first small gig KT has played in the region - she previously performed a ‘secret’ solo show at the Inn At Lathones next St Andrews.
