Over the weekend of July 2 and 3 there will be two days of fun and games for young and old, including music, dancing, story-telling and woodcrafting.

There will be a range of events and activities from 10am to 5pm each day, although the official opening takes place at 12 noon on Saturday with a rousing musical set from Billy Anderson and Friends on the White Heather Stage, followed by children’s entertainment from the Jolly Jigglers and then children’s characters will be joining younger visitors for rides on Puffin’ Billy and the Rio Grande.

Back by popular demand is story-teller Sheila Kinninmonth, who will be setting up hep teppee for story sessions throughout the weekend.

In the afternoon there will be displays by Inspire Falconry.

There will also be a craft tent on both days and Jonny Chainsaw will be crafting items from wood at the front gate.

MSP Willie Rennie will be the guest of honour on Sunday, when there will be more music at the White Heather Stage, including the City Pipe Band who will then tour the park on Puffin’ Billy.

To help raise funds for the park there will be two tombola stands – donations would be greatly appreciated and can be handed into the ticket office in the lead up to the Country Fayre.
