From St Andrews to Dunfermline a host of musicians will provide more than enough choice to tickle any jazz fan’s taste buds.

Saxophonist Konrad Wiszniewski launched the event at St Andrews’ Byre Theatre this week, and the programme features a wide range of musicians, from gypsy swing to electric blues-rock; the exotic flavours of Balkan dances to modern jazz with hip-hop; traditional Dixieland jazz to cinematic sounds as well as gospel to a strictly-for-dancing swing ballroom extravaganza.

There’s even a musical accompaniment thrown in to the mix when Jane Gardner, John Burgess and Hazel Morrison provide the music for DW Griffiths’ silent movie The Battle of the Sexes.
