Fife's firework displays - all you need to know

The skies over Fife will be lit up in every colour of the rainbow this weekend as thousands turn out to watch a number of organised firework displays across the Kingdom.

Here’s a handy round-up of each display, including when and where.

And remember, no personal fireworks or sparklers are permitted at any of the events.

BURNTISLAND

When: Thursday, November 3

Where: Burntisland Links

Time: Entertainment is available from 6pm, with the bonfire being lit at 7pm and the fireworks due to kick off at 7.15pm.

Price: This is a free event but the event relies on public donations – please donate to the collection buckets on the night if you can.

Getting there: Parking for the event is limited, so organisers advise people to use public transport. The nearest train station is Burntisland, located just five minutes walk away via East Leven Street or Somerville Street.

CERES

When: Thursday, November 3

Where: Bow Butts

Time: Braziers will be lit at 6.30pm with the fireworks starting at 7pm

Getting there: Parking is limited, but Stagecoach services 41B from Leven and 64 from St Andrews both call at Ceres.

GLENROTHES

When: Friday, November 4

Where: Gilvenbank Park

Time: Things kick off at 7pm until 8.30pm

Price: This is a free event but the event relies on public donations – please donate to the collection buckets on the night if you can.

Getting there: Parking on Huntsman Road, next to Gilvenbank Park, is limited, and locals are advised to park elsewhere and make their way to the park on foot. Stagecoach service X37 calls at Balfarg, which is adjacent to the park.

CARDENDEN

When: Friday, November 4

Where: Wallsgreen Park, Cardenden

Time: Things kick off at 7pm

Getting there: There is parking nearby, but locals are advised to make their way to the park on foot. Stagecoach services 32, 33 and 34 all call at Cardenden.

CROSSFORD

When: Friday, November 4

Where: King George V Playing Fields, Crossford

Time: Things kick off at 7pm with the bonfire, and fireworks at 7.30pm

Price: While there is no set price, a donation of £2 per person is suggested

Getting there: Because of the mostly residential surroundings, parking is limited, so locals are advised to make their way to the park on foot. Stagecoach services 8 and X24 both call at Crossford.

DUNFERMLINE

When: Saturday, November 5

Where: Pittencrief Park, Dunfermline

Time: There are live bands on stage from 6pm, with fireworks at 7pm.

Price: This is a free event

Getting there: There is some parking at the Park, however with an estimated 20K people expected on the night, it’s best to think ahead! The nearest train station is Dunfermline Town, which is around a 15-20 minute walk away. A number of Stagecoach services also stop in the town centre.

CUPAR

When: Saturday, November 5

Where: Cupar Golf Club

Time: Gates open at 4pm with fireworks starting promptly at 6pm

Price: £2 per person

Getting there: There is limited parking. The nearest train station is Cupar, and the Golf Club is around a 10-15 minute walk from there via Ceres Road.

ELIE

When: Saturday, November 5

Where: Ship Inn, Elie

Time: There will be a BBQ in the beer garden from 6pm, with (weather permitting) a bonfire on the beach and fireworks on the beach at 7pm.

Price: No charge

Getting there: Locals are advised to walk to this event

ANSTRUTHER

When: Saturday, November 5

Where: Anstruther Harbour, Anstruther

Time: Things start at 7pm - there will be a BBQ with proceeds going to RNLI, a dance show from Fusion Dance, music, a children’s mini fayre, glow in the dark merchandise and a daring charity firewalk. The fireworks start at 7.30pm.

Getting there: Parking at the harbour is limited, so it is best to arrive there on foot.

CULROSS

When: Sunday, November 6

Where: Bon Accord Park, Culross

Time: There will be a bonfire from 6.30pm and the fireworks are at 7pm
