A steady stream of foodies attended the event throughout the day to sample the delicious fayre on offer and to watch the demonstrations from some of Fife’s top chefs.

Laura Laird from Kirkcaldy 4 All, organisers of the event in conjunction with Fife College, said she was delighted with the turn out.

“It went really well,” she said. “There were plenty of people coming throughout the day and the feedback we’re getting from those who were there and the stallholders is all really positive.”

Laura said that the biggest hit of the day was perhaps the childrens’ cookery workshops where they made healthy pizzas and decorated cupcakes.

“They could have been booked out twice over,” she said. “We’re already thinking ahead to next year so I think we’ll try and put on more of them throughout the day because they proved so popular, and maybe more chef demos.

“But overall, from our point of view, it was a great day with a really nice atmosphere.”
