“It’s always very popular and despite the horrendous weather last year, we got some great positive feedback.

Suzie says that the team have learnt some lessons from 2015.

“It was the first time that we’d held it indoors at the college, so we were sort of learning as we went along.

“Even during the course of the day we could see where we could make improvements and we’ve listened to what people have told us.

”Some said they didn’t know how to get into the college or where to go once they were inside so we’re going to have improved signage both inside and out.

“We’ll be using the big screen in the atrium this year so that people can get a bird’s eye view of the chefs’ demonstrations.

“We’ve also condensed the hours, the first and last hours last year were very quiet, so we’re packing it all in between 11am-4pm this year. It’ll make for a busier day with a better atmosphere.

“The Fife College cafe will also be open this year where people can get tea, coffee and sandwiches as well as a beer or glass of wine.

“We were delighted with the public’s support last year and I’m sure it’ll prove to be a hit again.

“The aim is to showcase the wonderful food and drink we have right here in Fife and to whet people’s appetites and hopefully that will encourage them to visit and socialise in local pubs and restaurants.”

It’s not too late to join the 20 local businesses who are setting up a stall. Call Suzie on 01592-640040.
