The 34th Fife Sports Festival for disabled people will begin on Friday.
And the first event of the annual festival will get underway at the town’s Fife Sports Institute with the Fife Swimming Championships.
The event will run for four weeks.
During the early years the festival was held over an afternoon, but over the years it has been extended because of growing interest in a range of different sports.
Among the sports competitors are taking part in, are swimming, archery, boccia, football, unihoc, basketball, netball, table tennis and the Tug-O-War.
The final event in the programme will be Fife Badminton Championships for disabled players at Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre on Friday, March 18.
