The Kings Live Lounge is starting to build up a fantastic schedule of events.

The town’s newest venue is generating a good audience for its mix of music, comedy, cabaret, open mic nights and groups which range from tai chi to zumba.

The Live Lounge has transformed the old YWCA on the Esplanade – and only by stepping inside do you fully appreciate the scale of the work invovled.

It’s a welcoming, vibrant entertainments scene, staffed by volunteers, and it has the potential to grow even further.

Its regular events include fitness classes – stretch and tone, plus Rockfit as well as Zumba – while its regular quiz nights have found an audience too.

In terms of live entertainment, on Friday, March 6, it hosts what has to be town’s first drag queen Bingo night .

It is hosted by local drag queen Ivy Adamas who promises to mix filthy bingo calls with some magificient drag performances ... and there are also prizes to be won!

On a similar theme, Saturday, March 21 brings Fife’s leading drag queen, Nancy Clench to the stage with her hit show Agony Aunt.

It’s an extended version of her five-star reviewed Fringe show – so expect quick fire wit and some cracking vocals.

Music fans are well catered for as the Live Lounge has regular acoustic nights as well as showcasing a wide range of bands.

Look out for Abbfab on Saturday, March 14 –one of Scotland’ top Abba tribute nights.

And fans of XFactor will recall Nicky McDonald –the 2013 series runner-up.

He’s on stage on Saturday, March 28 with two support acts, and a meet and greet opportunity for his local fans.
