Photomarathon set to capture beauty of local loch
Teams will have six hours to take six photos of six topics in a test of their wildlife photography talents.
The first three topics will be announced in the morning briefing before teams set out to explore the reserve on a quest to take the best nature-themed photos possible. The final three topics will be announced at the start of the afternoon session.

Hide AdAlice O’Rourke is RSPB Scotland’s visitor experience officer at Loch Leven and is organising the event. She said: “Last year there was a real buzz around this event and there were some stunning results. You can be a stealthy one person team, work with friends or decide it’s time for the kids to go head-to-head against the parents, it’s up to you.”
She added: “It’s an event that people of all ages can enjoy whether they are first-time photographers or seasoned enthusiasts. The reserve is such a brilliant place for photography and I think the surprise topics and competition add to the excitement. I can’t wait to see what people come back with!”
The photomarathon will take place on Saturday, July 16 from 10am to 4 pm.
It costs £5 per team/family plus normal reserve entry charge and booking is essential. For more information and to book call 01577 862355 or email [email protected]. The photos will be judged by last year’s winner, Stewart Niven from Kinross Camera Club and the winners will be announced on Friday, July 22. The best photos will be displayed at the RSPB Scotland Loch Leven visitor centre.
