PICTURE SPECIAL '“ Thousands turn out for Kirkcaldy's reindeer parade

The cold weather didn't prove a deterrent as thousands flocked to Kirkcaldy town centre for the annual reindeer parade.

Santa was pulled in his sleigh by six reindeer from Thistle Street to the Mercat shopping centre on the High Street where he officially opened the Christmas Grotto for 2016.

Helping him on his way were Kirkcaldy & District pipe band, whilst a team from Kingdom FM helped to keep the large crowd - including hundreds of youngsters in reindeer hats - entertained.

The grotto will be in the centre until Christmas Eve – when Santa has lots of work to do!
