The festival, which featured local rockers Break the Butterfly as headliners last year, is back bigger and better, with even more local talent and a marquee - in case the weather didn’t get the invite!

Events are due to kick off down on the prom at 12pm and there will be live music right through the afternoon and into the evening with proceedings due to wrap up around 8am.

Alongside the music marquee there will be craft stalls and a funfair with some big attractions, meaning there will be something for everyone.

There will also be a beer tent and hot dogs and other refreshments on offer.

Alistair Suttie, chairman of Leven Community Council, said: “We have a great line-up of bands and doors open at 11.30am with the first act onstage at 12.30pm.

“There is a chance to see local up-and-coming singer Jed Gillies, ‘13 Tombs’ from Methil, Fifers ‘Break the Embargo’, Kirkcaldy funksters ‘Auxygen’, a bit of East coast ska from ‘Joe Viterbo’. We also have ‘SUPA and De Kryptonites’ from Edinburgh, finishing off with headliners ‘Resurrection’, rated the best Stone Roses tribute, who will hit the stage for a great finale at 7pm.”

This year’s event will be ticketed and you can get these online here or on the day at Beachcomber Amusements on Leven Prom.
