Showaddywaddy rock back into the Kingdom ...

They were stalwarts of the Top of The Pops era - and Showaddywaddy are still going strong today.

They band are back in Fife this week, with a gig at the Alhambra Theatre on Friday.

It’s their second visit to the Kingdom in recent years - they were last here in 2013 when they packed out Rothes Halls, Glenrothes.

The world of music has changed beyond recognition since the days they topped the charts, and their greatest hits may be knocking on for 40 years of age, but the audiences still know every single word to every single song!

Their Rothes Halls gig was an absolute hoot - a night of sheer entertainment with a built-in feel good factor.

But, it’s hard to go wrong when you can take your audience back in time and rekindle their youth with hits such as ‘Under The Moon Of Love’, ‘Three Steps To Heaven’ and ‘Hey Rock & Roll.’ ... not to mention the covers from the glory days of rock and roll in the 1950s.

That gig saw some fans dress as teddy boys to emulate the band’s style so don’t be too surprised if you see some similar sartorial sights in Dunfermline on Friday!

Good music, regardless of when it was first recorded, never loses really its appeal, and Showaddywaddy certainly delivered a smashing night out on their last visit - this was much more than a stroll through the old hits. The band had a ball on stage.

And if you don’t know the words - or the songs - then you clearly didn’t tune into TOTP back in the day!
