‘Spoonsrock’ was headlined by Fife-band The Snapping Turtles, playing their distinctive combination of funk, rock and jazz to a packed house late into the evening.

Support was provided from the Sauza Kings and Auxygen.

The full event was live-streamed on the Kings Theatre Kirkcaldy Facebook page, as well as filmed and photographed by camera crew. A highlights reel is expected to be released on the group’s YouTube channel shortly.

A grand total of £702.75 was raised to contribute to the Kings Theatre Kirkcaldy funds.

Grant Foster, CEO of Kings Theatre Kirkcaldy Group, said: “It was an amazing night. I can’t thank everyone enough for how generous they were. It’s great to see the whole community getting behind this project.

“I truly believe we can make this happen, and bring back a theatre to Kirkcaldy High Street.”

The ‘Spoonsrock’ event was the first of many fundraising events the Kings Theatre Kirkcaldy Group are planning to stage over the next few years, prior to the intended re-opening of the historic theatre in either 2019 or 2020.
