There are a number of events and activities happening across the Kingdom that will help to keep the family busy. Here we’ve listed just some of the things happening locally over the Easter holidays to help give you some ideas.
5. Easter Trail at Rabbit Braes, Kirkcaldy
A Family Easter Trail takes place in Kirkcaldy’s Rabbit Braes on Friday, March 29. Organised by Rabbit Braes Development Group the trail runs from 10.30am to 12 noon. Tickets are £1 per child, available from the Linton Lane Centre. Must be booked in advance by calling 01592 643816. There’s also a chance to meet the Easter Bunny at the centre on the day. 6. Easter fun at the Scottish Fisheries Museum
A series of Easter events will be running at the Scottish Fisheries Museum between Friday, March 29 and Sunday, April 18.Activities are free with general museum admission.Go on an Easter chick hunt around the museum to track down the naughty spring chickens that have escaped from the nest.On Friday March 29 and Saturday, March 30 between 1.30pm and 3.30pm get creative with the Easter crafts drop-in.On Sunday, March 31 at 2pm enjoy storytime with Kipper the Cat in the Fisherman's Cottage attic.For more information check the museum's website. 7. Scotland's Daffodil Festival
Enjoy a day in the fresh air at Backhouse Rossie Estate amongst some of the first daffodils ever created in Britain from the Wordsworth style daffodils. Enjoy the only National Collection of Backhouse Narcissus in the world. See spring flowers, Walled Garden, Woodland Daffodil Walk, Children’s Quiz, Infants Bear Walk and Nine Hole Putting. Relax in the festival cafe serving food, snacks and hot and cold drinks. The festival runs from 10am to 4.30pm on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14 at Rossie Estate past Collessie off the A91, Cupar KY15 7UZ. There will also be a selection of stalls. 8. The Three Little Pigs
Get blown away by a brand new musical adventure of The Three Little Pigs when it comes to Kirkcaldy's Adam Smith Theatre on April 6. The family classic is brought to the stage by Lost The Plot Theatrical. Join the three pigs as they excitedly leave the family sty in search of new adventures. Get those trotters tapping and those snouts a-squealin’ with new catchy songs, dancing and plenty of audience participation for piglets of all ages.
