Throughout the 1990s eagle eyed film buffs could catch a glimpse of Leslie resident Michael Kelly’s if they watched close enough, for he was a regular on the big screen.
Now Michael, who has in the last few years swapped the life of an actor for that of a writer, has committed his stories to the pages of his new limited editionbook entitled ‘One Flew Into The Cuckoo’s Nest’.
“It was a great period, I was young and working on a number of big films so I thought I’d retell some of the stories of my exploits as well as a little about my life,” Michael told the Gazette.
However, the book is just one of a number of literary projects that author currently has on the go.
Following on from his stage play ‘And all because the Ladies love a right guid Gab’, described as a Fife take on ‘The Steamie’ and produced by Des Dillon’s Goldfish theatre company, it played to sell out audiences throughout Scotland in 2015,
Now Michael has completed the other parts of the trilogy with ‘Ladies Love A Mystery’ and ‘Ladies Love Bingo’.
“I’m in discussion with a theatre companyinterested in the trilogy so who knows what might happen in the near future, “ said Michael.
