A new immersive installation featuring at the Scottish Parliament next month as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe is coming to Fife.

Created by a leading team of Scottish artists, led by socially engaged theatre-maker Nicola McCartney, it uses a series of fragments of stories, sound, light and space to give testimony to 100 people who have experienced life in the care system, and serves as an act of celebration and recognition of the achievements of those taking part,

Visitors are invited to walk through an intimate landscape of memory, resilience and imagination.

Ten Portraits by photographer Chris Scott features the images of ten people who have been part of the Scottish care system and is inspired by their personal stories. Chris is a Scottish photographer, who himself has a care experience background, and his unobtrusive style captures the essence and personalities of his subjects.

"These are exciting pieces of work that will inform and challenge," said Jackie McKenzie, venue manager. "It will give insight into the care system through the experiences of those who have lived it, which we look forward to bringing to Fife and it ties in with the strong community focus we have here at Rothes Halls."
