Aimed at young people aged between 11 and 18, the roadshow will travel throughout north east Fife between now and August 10, when it will culminate in a main event in Cupar’s Haugh Park.

The roadshow is being organised by Cupar Youth Café, Fife Council Community Learning and Development, Fife Police and Cupar YMCA-YWCA.

Other organisations taking part include the Territorial Army, Clued Up, NHS Fife and the Scottish Association for Mental Health.

“We’re taking youth work on the road and hitting all the identified hot spots for young people across the area,” said Gemma Frail, Cupar Youth Café co-ordinator.

“The idea behind the project is to take our youth work services out and about across the small towns of the area and allow young people an opportunity to engage in meaningful activities throughout the summer holidays.

“The roadshow is an opportunity for young people to come along to their local park or skate park, get involved in some outdoor activities, including street football, outdoor acoustic music sessions, spray can art, park games and activities and a weapons display from the TA, as well as access to information and services relevant to all teenagers.”
