On the second Sunday of the month SWACS Environmental and Education Centre, in the basement of East Wemyss Primary School, is open to the public from 2pm to 4.30pm, with lots of interesting things see, including images of the caves and historical information. Tours, which leave at 3pm, start from the centre, and while the caves are walk-in, sensible shoes are required as the cave floors are uneven. A stepped pathway leads up to the historical McDuff Castle and down to the last cave. All tours are free but donations are appreciated. Children are very welcome when accompanied by responsible adults. The next Open Sunday tour takes place this weekend, April 10.
