West meets East as Glasgow Boys exhibition comes to Fife

St Andrews Museum plays host to a major exhibition this summer '“ a rare opportunity to see 25 paintings by the renowned group of artists, the Glasgow Boys.

Fife Council’s fine art collection holds more than 40 paintings by the celebrated group of artists, and this is a rare of opportunity to see 25 of them, by 17 artists in one exhibition – The Glasgow Boys – A Spirit of Rebellion.

Linked by friendship and a shared desire to rebel against the existing art establishment in late 19th century Scotland, the Glasgow Boys became internationally famous.

The show runs at the Kinburn Park museum until September 3.
