Longer hours as contractors return to Fife hospital site
Building work at a former Fife hospital is set to be stepped up.
Contractors transforming the former Forth Park Maternity Hospital in Kirkcaldy into a residential estate have applied to work longer hours.

Hide AdThey have submitted an application to Fife Council for as temporary extension to allow workers to stay on site from 7:00 am to 7:00pm six days a week with Sunday shifts from 8:00am to 4:00pm
The application comes after a three month lockdown due to the coronavirus restrictions. It will be considered in due course by the council.
Forth Park opened in 1976, and closed in 2012 with the completion of the new wing at the Victoria Hospital.
In 2019, plans were unveiled to knocked down the old maternity unit and build 41 houses, with the original building transformed into 14 flats.
