The mall bosses want to build to new food outlets on an existing car park in North Street. Both would have drive-thru facilities.

The plan for first submitted last September for the land between the petrol station and YMCA.

A planning statement said: “The proposed development is a re-submission for two restaurant and drive through units, associated car parking, access, landscaping and other operations at North Street, Glenrothes. Two units will be occupied by mainstream commercial operators.”

No names were given for which drive-thru operators may move into the new premises.
