Cupar motor group chief receives OBE
The accolade was in recogntion of his achievements in business, charity and Scottish motorsport.
With over 50 years in the business behind him, Mr Clark (68) told the Fife Herald: “It’s a massive honour for me, for the company and for my team of people as well.

Mr Clark added “sheer hard work and a passion for what you do” had helped guide him over the last half-century.
Edinburgh-born Mr Clark has had a lifelong association with cars. He grew up in the vicinity of Merchiston Mews, home to the world-renowned Ecurie Ecosse race team.
After early motor trade experience, he branched out on his own and started by buying and selling cars from his bedroom, eventually opening his first dealership in 1969.

Hide AdMr Clark’s business career was also complemented by success as a BMW 323 driver and in the British Touring Car Championships , while he has also supported numerous charitable causes. Today, the firm has sites around Scotland, including Cupar, Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline.
