A house builder has taken the wraps off a new development on the outskirts of Kirkcaldy.

Barratt Homes is launching 242 homes at Kingslaw Gait, adjacent to Kingdom Park.

The first phase of construction includes three and four-bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached homes with prices starting at £196,995.

Kingdom Park’s masterplan includes shops and a new primary school by 2027.

Anne Ross, sales director at Barratt East Scotland, said: “We’ve already received positive interest from prospective buyers and we’ll be continuing to engage with the local community to ensure we create a new development that provides much-needed homes and enhances the area.”

The Scottish Government’s First Home Fund scheme is available for Kingslaw Gait, helping first-time buyers purchase a home.

With First Home Fund, the buyers own the property outright, with the Scottish Government contributing a maximum of 49% equity loan based on the property valuation or purchase price, whichever is lower, up to a maximum of £25,000.
