Fife alpaca farm features on Channel 4 show

A north east Fife alpaca farm has helped bring a smile to faces across the UK, after it featured on a Channel 4 show.

Bowbridge Alpacas was on the Steph Show last week, when Alison Johnson, who owns the farm with husband Paul, gave a tour and shared some facts about the animals.

The show has featured clips with various animals in recent weeks, and contacted Bowbridge Alpacas after the farm shared positive messages on its Facebook page.

Several Skype tests were held to make sure the feature would work on TV, before the live appearance with Steph.

“We’ve had a lot of positive feedback,” said Alison.

“It’s never been an ambition to be a TV star, but I enjoyed it. We have a large Facebook following and we got a lot of positive messages.”

Unfortunately, because of the coronavirus crisis, the farm has had to cancel all visits and events.

However, people have been adopting the alpacas online, which helps cover the cost of the feed.

“We look forward to seeing everyone when this is over,” added Alison.
