Kirkcaldy firm wins £240,000 contract to build Fife school extension
RG Construction has been chosen by Fife Council to carry out the works, which will see two new classrooms and a new staff room built and a new soft play surface laid in the playground.
The £240,000 contract - details of which were published on Public Contracts Scotland - covers the construction of the new block itself but does not include the subsequent fit-out to make it ready for learning. The works are expected to take no more than 38 weeks to complete.

Hide AdPlans for the extension were approved last summer after the local authority secured £1.6 million of funding from Persimmon Homes to improve the school.
The housebuilder was asked to make the payment as a condition of approval for a 335-home development on the western edge of the town.
The remaining funding will be used to reshape the interior of the school to create larger classrooms and a longer dining hall to accommodate an expected rise in demand for places from the new homes.
