Two police cars, a large van, and a smaller van were parked nearby.

A handful of officers with dogs were spotted through the trees, prompting some members of the public to question what was going on via social media.

However, a spokesman for Police Scotland said that Fife Division had no recorded incidents in that area.

The spokesman added that there was no cause for alarm, and it was likely a training exercise.
