Connor Syme and Chloe Goadby helped Scotland's men and women to top ten places at the European Nations Cup in Sotogrande.

The Scots men won the event in 2014, but the quartet of Syme (Drumoig), Glencruitten’s Robert MacIntyre, Liam Johnston (Dumfries & County) and Craig Howie from Peebles settled for a fourth place finish in Spain.

MacIntyre and Syme were the best performers individually, sharing seventh.

The Scottish women’s side saw Goadby (St Regulus), Shannon McWilliam (Aboyne) and Grantown on Spey’s Hannah McCook forming the team.

Holland took the team honours, with the Scots tied seventh with Austria.

Goadby led after two rounds of the individual event, but dropped to ninth.
