Fife house prices show decline

House prices in Fife dropped more than average for Scotland in December, new figures show.

​The ​decline ​contributes to the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area ​suffer a 0.6 per cent annual decline​.

The average Fife house price at the end of 2019 was £133,921, Land Registry figures show​ – a per cent, and Fife under performed compared to the 0.3 per cent rise for the UK as a whole.

Over the last year, the average sale price of property in the region ​​remained level – putting the ​area 26th among Scotland’s 32 local authorities for annual growth.
