A number of High Street businesses owners have recorded their own festive greetings which will be broadcast until December 25.

John Murray, chairman, and Fife Free Press columnist, said: “This year more than ever it is most important to shop local and many shop owners have been featured here from Invertiel to Templehall and including many from the High Street’.

He added: “Last year I produced the video ‘Support Kirkcaldy High Street’ featuring shop owners singing along to ‘All I Want For Christmas’ and this year they were invited to be heard on the radio, but a video might just follow as well’.

Local councillors also got involved, and the station even had a message from pop star Shakin Stevens.

K107FM serves the town of Kirkcaldy and surrounding areas and features a host of local volunteer broadcasters.
