The Festival of Ideas, due to take place in Kirkcaldy at the end of the month, has been postponed until the end of summer.

It was due to feature Joanna Lumley in conversation, a family fun day, live music and a food and drink fair, with many of the events taking place at the Adam Smith Theatre, run by Fife Cultural Trust.

Heather Stuart, CEO, said: “It is obviously disappointing that such a high profile and much-anticipated event is being postponed but, with guests and audiences coming from throughout the UK and overseas, the organisers must err on the side of caution.
