On Friday, the health board said all of the confirmed cases have been contacted by its public health team and are adhering to public health guidance.

A spokesperson for the NHS said: “Contact tracers from the NHS Fife's Public Health Test and Protect Team have identified and traced all known contacts of the positive cases and provided these contacts with the relevant public health advice.”

Members of the public are being urged to remain vigilant of the signs and symptoms of Covid-19, with the key symptoms a new continuous cough and/or high temperature and a loss of, or change in, sense of taste or smell.

Anyone with key symptoms can arrange a test via https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test or by calling 0800 028 2816.
