He said: “A few of my friends were needing someone to talk to and I was able to help. In my eyes, I hardly did anything apart from chat to them, it was nothing at all, just a chat.

“There are so many people out there with problems that might not need specialist help, but they might need someone to talk to, not everyone has people around them to share their problems with.

“What I want to do is start a group discussion where people come and share their experiences of their own mental health issues and what they have done to combat the way that they were feeling.

Pete kicked off his movement last week with a series of Facebook videos, which have been shared online over 1000 times, urging people far and wide to share his posts to raise the maximum amount of awareness for the man chat.

Steve Mitchell, who runs The Buffalo Farm commends Pete for his dedication in wanting to help others. He said: “It’s great what Pete is doing, I have encouraged him to pursue his idea from the minute he mentioned it.

“Mental health is a big issue, and if there is anything that we can do at The Buffalo Farm to help and support the community we’ll do it.

“Pete is an inspiration to selflessly take this on.

“I know that Pete would be delighted if he could help one person, but I know that he will help a lot more.
