New cafe and deli planned for Fife town

The building in Falkland could be converted into a food venue.

The upper floor is still used as office space, but  applicant, Keith Rennie, hopes to make use of the ground floor to create a local cafe and deli.

In his planning application, he said the shop would sell items such as fresh meats, cheeses and eggs as well as locally sourced fruit and vegetables.

The cafe would sell soups, sandwiches, cakes and coffee.

There is also a hope to expand to selling locally crafted beers, wines and gins, but this would require an off licence.

Anticipated opening hours would be from 7.00am to 6.00pm.
