A statement posted on its website said: “In light of the coronavirus and the recent steps taken by the government, the festival week this year will not go ahead as planned.

“We aim to have a Festival Day/Weekend when the village can get together and enjoy some of the traditional Festival events when the situation improves and allows.

We are looking forward to 2021 when we will enjoy a full-blown marquee-based festival.”

The organisers revealed the 2021 festival would run Friday July 30 to Sunday August 8.

They added: “We thank you for your understanding in this matter.”
