The suspects used a white Vauxhall Mokka, from the same premises, to damage the perimeter fence and have gained entry to the building.
The keys for two vehicles were subsequently stolen and used to take a grey Audi Q5, with the registration SR10 HZY, and white BMW X5, with the registration L3 BNB.
The Vauxhall Mokka was abandoned at the premises.
Officers are now appealing for information and anyone who can assist with ongoing inquiries is asked to come forward.
Detective Inspector Paul Dick of Fife Division CID said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have seen any suspicious behaviour in the area in the days beforehand, or during the early hours of Monday morning, to get in touch.
“In addition, anyone who has seen, or who knows the current whereabouts of the stolen vehicles, is asked to contact police immediately. It’s possible that the vehicles no longer have the same registration plates.
“I would also urge the public to remain vigilant and ensure that their property is secured at all times, always reporting suspicious behaviour to 101 and dialling 999 if you see a crime ongoing.”
Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0516 of 8 October, or the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
