Kirkcaldy man admitted assaulting his former partner

Liam Paul, 30, appeared before Sheriff James Williamson at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.
Paul, of Dothan Road, admitted on June 23, 2021 at an address in Castle Crescent, Kennoway, he acted in an aggressive manner towards his former partner, repeatedly shouted and swore at her, made derogatory remarks towards her, kicked a household item and repeatedly punched a door damaging it.

Hide AdHe further admitted on the same date, in the same place, he assaulted his ex-partner and punched her on the body causing her to stumble and strike household furniture, lunged towards her and struck her on the head to her injury.
Paul’s defence lawyer told the court his client was a first offender and that he regretted his actions and was ashamed of his behaviour.
Sheriff Williamson deferred sentence until November 4 and placed him on a 12-month non-harassment order.
