A Kirkcaldy man who struck his victim with a knife causing permanent disfigurement is due to be sentenced next month.

Robert Penman, of Durward Street, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Penman, 66, admitted on November 16 last year at Links Street, Kirkcaldy he assaulted a man by repeatedly striking him on the body with a knife to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.

He further admitted that on the same date in the same place he did, without lawful authority, have a knife.

Sentence deferred until January 22.
