A man who admitted stealing clothing from a Kirkcaldy store and acting aggressively towards police by shouting, swearing and throwing a phone has had his sentence deferred until November 3.

Michael Williamson, of Balgarvie Crescent, Kirkcaldy appeared from prison via video link at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Williamson, 42, admitted on December 9, 2019 at JD Sports, Mercat Shopping Centre, he stole clothing. He admitted on January 9, 2020 at Kirkcaldy Police Station, he acted in an aggressive manner towards police by shouting, swearing and throwing a mobile phone.
