Emergency services called to swimming event in Forth

Emergency services were called to a swimming event off the Fife coast after reports some competitors got into difficulties.

The search and rescue operation was carried out at the Firth of Forth Swimming event yesterday.

Difficult weather conditions resulted in a number of reports to the Coastguard that safety boats were struggling to cope with the conditions.
