Diamond wedding celebration for couple who met at Eddie Clark’s Annstruther cafe
A Methil couple have celebrated a remarkable milestone, raising a glass with family and loved ones to mark 60 years of marriage.
John (Jock) Mutch and Margaret Mutch (née Bowman) celebrated their Diamond Wedding anniversary on 24 September.
Jock, originally from Buckhaven, first met Margaret, from Pittenweem, at Eddie Clark's Café in Anstruther. The couple married at The Manse in Pittenweem in 1966 and have spent the past six decades building a happy life together in the local area.
Before retiring, Jock worked at Pfaulder Balfours in Leven after many years in the coal mining industry, while Margaret worked at the Co-op before retiring and dedicating her time to their much-loved grandchildren.

They have three children, John, Yvonne and Donna; five grandchildren, Jordon, Sarah, Nathan, Ross and Morgan; and two great-grandchildren, Emilia and Marley. In their spare time, they enjoy gardening, spending time with family and caring for their beloved grand-dogs.
Their anniversary celebrations included a visit from Councillor Anne Marie Caldwell, who presented the couple with flowers on behalf of Fife Council, followed by a family gathering at the Dean Park Hotel in Kirkcaldy.
