Fife headteacher 's video 'open for business' message during COVID
Ronnie Ross said Levenmouth Academy has had fewer than ten confirmed cases of COVID.
His message came as schools across the region continued to be linked to positive test results - often single figures, but which are resulting in significant numbers of pupils having to self isolate.

Earlier this week, Alan Pithie, head teacher at Auchmuty High school in Glenrothes confirmed over 400 pupils were self isolating as a result positive tests among classmates and teachers, and that attendance at the school was around 50 per cent.
Mr Ross is at the helm of an academy formed out of the merger of Kirkland and Buckhaven High Schools in 2017. It has capacity for 1750 pupils.

Hide AdHe said: “We recognise at school that parents, carers and families are genuinely worried and concerned about the rise in numbers in Fife
“We re open for business. Since this started I can say we have had less than 10 confirmed cases of COVID in our school population.
“For a school of our size that is pretty good indeed.”He said it was crucial that pupils continued to go to school after huge disruption to studies caused by lockdown.
Mr Ross continued: ““They have missed so much between March and summer. We need them in school to do the learning, and understand this is what you want as well, and for it to be done in a safe and healthy way.”
