Fife libraries halt click and collect service to assess tighter lockdown rules

A click and collect service run by Fife’s libraries has been put on hold.

The move by OnFife is to allow it to assess the impact on staff of tighter pandemic restrictions being announced by the Scottish Government.

The guidelines changed and Fife was put into Level 4 while libraries were closed over the festive period - and they are set to change once more.

As a result, the pick-up service, which was designed to give customers access to library services has been paused.

Marcus Kenyon, chief operating officer, said: “We made the decision to put the Connect and Collect service on hold this week so we could assess the impact on our staffing levels, including team members' responsibilities for childcare with the delay in schools returning.”
