Fife woman honoured with apprenticeship graduate award

Kirkcaldy based apprenticeship graduate, Heather Colville, earned special recognition award at B&Q’s recent apprenticeship graduation ceremony.

The award recognised her ‘Can Do Spirit’ and the passion she has for her team and customers, and follows the successful completion of the eighteen month Retail Team Leader, level three apprenticeship scheme.

Heather has worked at B&Q for 11 years, starting out when she was a student. The apprenticeship scheme has enabled her to make a career change from working on the shop floor in showrooms, to the Décor department as team leader.

Based at the B&Q store in Kirkcaldy, Heather is part of the first wave of apprentices to graduate.

She said: “Winning was amazing.I never thought I would be as confident as I am in my role – the apprenticeship learning has helped me.”
