Kirkcaldy beach: warning signs removed after latest water tests
Warning signs urging people not to bathe the water at Kirkcaldy’s Seafield Beach have been removed.
The precautionary advice from the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) was put in place at the end of August after high microbiological contamination readings.
Last week it said the most recent water quality tests confirmed that the beach was open for swimming and other water-based activities.
SEPA reviewed the latest sampling results and confirmed that water quality has returned to an acceptable standard.
Visitors and residents were thanked for their co-operation.
