New homes get go-ahead in Fife village
Three new homes are set to be built in a Fife village after a planning application was given the go ahead.
Stone Acre Property Group Limited had applied for permission to erect three properties on land at the junction of West Dykes Drive in Strathmiglo.
Consent had previously been granted to build two houses on the land however this has now been amended to include another one.
A report by Fife Council planners said the site was on the western edge of the village where a former agricultural building used to be.

“The site benefits from an extant planning permission for residential development and, as such, the principle of residential redevelopment of the site has already been accepted by the Planning Authority,” it stated.
“While the current proposal seeks to increase the number of dwellinghouses from two to three, the development remains relatively small scale and continues to redevelop a redundant brownfield site which formerly accommodated agricultural development and hardstanding.
“The proposal would deliver a visual enhancement to the site through the replacement of a former agricultural brownfield site with a high quality residential development incorporating landscaping, drainage infrastructure and associated environmental improvements
